Privacy policy
Last updated:
This policy covers this website and the intended use of Google authorization by SapientNova Outreach.
1. Who we are
SapientNova is an early-stage, owner-operated technology venture exploring software, automation and digital products. SapientNova Outreach is an application in testing, intended for the owner's use to send explicitly approved business communications through the owner's Gmail account.
For privacy questions or requests, contact sapientnova@gmail.com.
2. Information on this website
This is an informational website. It does not offer Google sign-in, request Gmail access, send emails, use contact forms, or include analytics, tracking scripts or cookies set by SapientNova.
When deployed on GitHub Pages, the hosting provider may process technical information such as your IP address and request details to deliver and protect the site. See the GitHub privacy statement. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include, and use them to respond and manage that correspondence.
3. Google authorization and data
The intended permission is https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send. It allows the application to send emails on behalf of the Google Account that authorizes it. This permission does not allow the application to read the inbox, list existing messages, manage drafts, or delete mail.
For an approved send, the application may process the sender and recipient addresses, subject, message body, any owner-approved attachments, and the send result or message identifier returned by Google. These are used to submit the approved message and record its outcome. OAuth access tokens and, if issued, refresh tokens authorize access; they are not your Google password.
Google authorization permits the application to send on the account's behalf. Separate owner approval is intended to control which communications are sent. Granting access is not approval for arbitrary or unapproved messages.
4. How Google data is used and shared
The intended use is limited to sending owner-authorized communications and handling the outcome of those sends. Message information is submitted to Google for delivery and shared with the intended recipients and the email services involved in delivery.
SapientNova does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or training general-purpose AI models. Google user data is not shared with unrelated third parties. Any additional service that would receive Google data must be disclosed and appropriately authorized before it is used.
SapientNova Outreach will follow the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements, and the Google Workspace user data and developer policy. This includes limiting data use to the disclosed functionality and restricting transfers and human access as those policies require.
5. Credentials and security
This public website does not collect or store OAuth credentials, access tokens, refresh tokens or Gmail message data. Credentials and tokens for the Outreach application must be kept separate from the public website and repository, with access limited to the authorized operator and application.
The security principles for the integration are minimum necessary access, protection against unauthorized use, and secure handling of data and tokens. Operational safeguards must meet Google's requirements before use. This policy does not assert a security certification or guarantee that any system is completely secure.
6. Retention and deletion
The retention principle is to keep authorization and related operational information only for as long as needed for the approved functionality, troubleshooting or a necessary legal obligation. Tokens that are no longer needed should be revoked and removed. A fixed deletion period is not currently established for the testing application.
You can request deletion of information held by SapientNova by emailing sapientnova@gmail.com. We will review the request and explain any information that must be retained and why. Removing information from SapientNova does not remove emails already delivered or copies held by Google or recipients.
7. Your control and revoking access
You can decline authorization or revoke access at any time. In your Google Account connections, find SapientNova Outreach under apps with access to your Google Account, open its details, choose Remove access, and confirm. Google provides instructions for managing third-party access.
Revoking access prevents further Gmail API access under that authorization. It does not recall sent messages or automatically delete records held outside Google. Contact us separately for deletion requests. Further use would require a new authorization.
8. Policy updates and contact
We may update this policy as the website or application changes, and will show the revised date here. Any new use of Google data must be disclosed, with additional consent obtained where required before that use begins.
